General Questions:

Perth Ideas Centre is open Monday to Friday during normal business hours. Provision for events outside of these hours may be possible if approved by PKC and may incur additional staffing expenses.

Yes. There is a public Wi-Fi network. Please be aware that the wi-fi is operated by PKC and subject to its IT policy. Some web sites may not be accessible. Please advise Perth Ideas Centre of any site you propose to use for your event or project so they can be checked in advance.

If you are a PKC employee, the council corporate network is available.

We are not able to provide catering at present however there is a spacious kitchen which you are welcome to use, and you can bring your own catering.

The car park at Creative Exchange is small and is reserved for tenants however there is plenty of metred on-street parking in the surrounding area.

Meetings & Events:

Perth Ideas Centre is a flexible space so we can accommodate different sizes of group depending on the configuration required. In the event area, up to 35 can be seated comfortably, theatre style. In the Makerspace, up to 14 can be seated boardroom style.

To book time on a computer or piece of machinery, please email [email protected] specifying the equipment and a short summary of your project. We will review against our current booking schedule and respond by email.

No, equipment and furniture are only to be used inside Perth Ideas Centre.

Yes, we have a Promethean Smartboard and a Phillips large screen both of which have HDMI and VGA connections. Please note that some PKC issued Probook laptops have communications issues with our screens so please contact Perth Ideas Centre in advance regarding your projection requirements.
